Glam Rock on the Docks
Here’s some shots from a “Glam Rock” themed shoot that I did with my fashion muse Giulia Priori last week.
Giulia struck some great poses as she rocked out my sunburst Les Paul guitar on a rusty old platform that we came across at an industrial estate beside Galway Docks, which all contributed to a scene full of contrasts that I hope make these shots burst out.
A break in the clouds gifted us some good light, and the imposing industrial towers around the docks provided with a striking background that added some drama to the shoot.
Giulia Priori also did the styling and make up for the shoot, which is part of her course in Business and Fashion at GTI Galway.
All I had to do was choose an appropriate location and keep my fingers crossed for some good light, and thankfully I think it all came together.

Seven Deadly Sins Photoshoot
Today I’ve decided to upload some shots from a fashion shoot that I had last week interpreting the seven deadly sins in my own homemade studio. The model for this shoot was the model Chloe Costello who was really great to work with for the first time, and I’m quite sure that she has a bright future in modeling ahead of her. The stylist was the very talented Giulia Priori who really ran with the theme and came up with some great ideas on a tight budget. These photos aren’t quite in their finished state right now, as I’ve had to do a little photoshop to try and jazz up my bedroom studio a little bit by trying to manipulate the backgrounds a little. Though I’ve still not quite got the hang of this photoshop malarkey and I’m rushing to catch a plane to Belgium for a long weekend, so I hope that these somewhat rushed pictures will do the job until I get home, and hopefully I’ll have some nice new shots of a country that I’m visiting for the first time on my return.
The seven deadly sins are: Lust, pride, envy, gluttony, greed, sloth, and wrath.
I hope that you can guess which are which…
Maritime fashion shoot for Volvo Ocean Race theme down by the Claddagh in Galway
Here’s an extra post today of some photographs that I took today with Giulia Priori, the model and stylist for a quick shoot this evening making the most of a rare glimpse of sunshine on a windy day down by the Claddagh. The sailor theme is for a student fashion project with a theme centred around the Volvo Ocean Race which is returning to Galway in 2012.
