Looking out over Galway Bay

Here’s a shot that’s closer to home than a lot of my recent posts. This is down at Ladies Beach just off the prom in Salthill, Galway. It was a pretty drab uninspiring day, but this lone figure enjoying the view adds a human element to an ordinary enough landscape that I think adds some interest.

The Beachfront

This is a photo that I took on the island of Koh Samed in Thailand, whilst enjoying life as a beach bum. It’s a simple shot, but I like the colours of the umbrellas against the backdrop of the beachfront.

Black Raven

Please do correct me if I’m wrong, but I do believe that this is a shot of a raven that I took at Nimmo’s pier around the Claddagh in Galway. Though admittedly I ain’t no ornothologist.

Young Laotian Cattle Herders

This is a shot that I took on a motorcycle trip getting lost around the countryside of Vang Vien in Laos.

Street Welding

Street shot that I took of some workers welding at night in the city of Amsterdam.

Red Cliff

Canal Seat, Amsterdam

This shot was taken in Amsterdam a couple of winters back when temperatures dropped below zero, which made traversing the city a painfully cold experience, yet did lend itself well to photographic pursuits.

I’ve also joined twitter in an attempt to get some more traffic towards my blog and view my work. Check out my account @ http://twitter.com/#!/zootshooter

Shadow in the mist

Here’s the picture again in monochrome at the request of some folk.
